Imagine, it would be able to travel to other planets. What would be the fine little consequences for our daily life on earth?

If frequent travel would be possible in a timely manner, it would just expand the range of destinations. It would be interesting to know, in what extend communication would be possible ...

We'd be polluting someone else's planet instead of our own when taking long vacations.

export people and decrease the environmental pressure and pollution. plenty of new science magazines to publish all those new research. raw material prices drop by far. more economic growth thanks to a larger playing field. more sports in new terrain

would we search for escape from our lifes not just in tv but long distance travels? or would it tell us that our problems don't weigh that heavy once we have a broader picture?

by kristina on Feb 23rd 2013
0 others light this answer. light

Well, if it was only travel, we could do more research in how our sun system actually evolved and hopefully live more consciously.

Light bulbs built 100 years ago still burn. Why does nobody build those light bulbs again?

#tech
by Deva Tamminga on Mar 5th 2013

lets built them!

by Carolin on May 20th 2013
0 others light this answer. light

Because our system is built on things that break some day. otherwise our system wouldn`t work. Best way out - produce everthing you need on your own and learn to repair things and use them out of context, when broke.

by Beta Bella on Mar 7th 2013
3 others light this answer. light

Because the industry don´t want it. We live in a world of resource wastage and profit. A bulb that burns 100 years is not interesting for share-holders.

what means forgetting someting to you?

by Greg on May 3rd 2013

it is a hassle, because I always search for things I forgot where I put them. Interesting, if I forgot something I can discover again. A burden, because you know that you have known it... If we could forget, that we had forgotten :)

by Carolin on May 20th 2013

Sometimes it is freedom, but most of the time forgetting is to hard to do it.

Which is the best place/region/city worldwide to live in (and why)?

Lake of Constance, Germany. Close to the alps, a lake in front of the door for all sorts of watersports, adjectant to four countries, close to the mediteranean sea, high class universities, theatres and shopping. everything is there. live where other people go on holidays

Warum gucken Tekkies Katzenbilder?

Weil sich sich beim Programmieren über eine schnurrende Katze als Begleiterin freuen würden?

by Deva Tamminga on Mar 17th 2013
0 others light this answer. light

by peterpan on Mar 6th 2013
0 others light this answer. light

Wegen der Bildunterschrift. Weil nicht-Tekkies es nicht tun. Wegen der Botschaften welche in den Pixeln codiert sind und die man nur mit Decodier-Software auslesen kann. Weil es lustig ist.
